Ridgeline Computer Solutions has donated to the 2022 Somerset County Shop with a Cop program. According to the Somerset County Shop with a Cop website the “program provides children the opportunity to go shopping with a police officer from their area — children who were the victim of crime, witnessed or experienced trauma, or have dealt with other unfortunate circumstances. This helps create friendship and support for these children so that they know they can trust and depend on officers when they are in need.” The site also goes on to say that “Children are recommended and chosen by local police departments and the Pennsylvania State Police. Each child will have $150 to spend while they are shopping.”
This year’s program had a larger number of donors spanning the greater Somerset County area and the organization exceeded its goal of raising $15,000. Donors hailed from communities such as Benscreek, Berlin, Central City, Davidsville, Friedens, Jennerstown, Listie, New Centerville, Stoystown, Windber as well as Somerset. CEO Bo Lottig of Ridgeline Computer Solutions commented “Christmas is my favorite time of year. As a child, I have warm memories of being visited by Santa and the gifts that he brought me. I think that the Shop with a Cop program is a great way to honor those memories while helping our country’s most important asset during the holidays- our children.”
Ridgeline Computer Solutions is a strong supporter of various Somerset and Westmoreland county organizations. Recently, Ridgeline has supported 11th Annual Somerset PA Scarecrow Festival, Grow Westmoreland’s 2nd Annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser and Sipesville Light Up Night.
